Saul and Claribel Simkin Bursary

The Saul (LL.D., 1974) and Claribel Simkin Bursary was established by Saul and Claribel Simkin in 2008 to help Indigenous students achieve post-secondary success. It will awarded to indigenous students who reside in Manitoba and have completed a minimum 24 credit hours towards an undergraduate degree in one of the following areas: Indigenous Studies, Environmental Studies or Sciences; or in an area of climate change within the Geography program. Students studying the Business Stream of a BSc Degree will also be considered.

Recipients will be selected based on financial need, and preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated involvement in their community such as volunteer work, mentoring, or coaching.
