Sid Williamson Memorial Award

The Sid Williamson Memorial Award in Education will be awarded to a student majoring in Education at The University of Winnipeg. Recipients must demonstrate financial need and come from one (or more) of the following groups: Indigenous students, recent immigrants, students with refugee backgrounds, students who are first in their family to attend post-secondary, and/or mature students.
This fund was generously created and funded by the daughters, friends, family, and peers of Sid Williamson. Sid was well-known for her passion for education and life, leaving a lasting impact on her students, fellow teachers and all those who knew her. The award is intended to support a future educator as they work towards their degree in hopes that they too will become a positive force in the lives of the students they teach.
