Kim Monson Bursary Fund

The Kim Monson Bursary Fund was created by the family of Kim Monson to commemorate Kim’s devotion to The University of Winnipeg mentoring young women in science and in recognition of the bursary support she received as a student. Kim immensely enjoyed her studies and 35-year career in the Geography Department at UWinnipeg. She especially loved working with students and was dedicated to encouraging young women to pursue careers in science. In honour of Kim’s bright legacy, this bursary fund will assist students studying physical geography at The University of Winnipeg. Preference will be given to students actively involved in field work and to those students who identified as female.
