Wilhelm Kristjanson Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Wilhelm Kristjanson (B.A., 1924, Wesley College, and L.L.D., 1972, The University of Winnipeg) by his daughter, Evelyn Downey. It will be awarded to a student with a distinguished record in the study of the history of Canadian immigration and ethnicity. Preference will be given to a student who has undertaken research on Icelandic immigration to Manitoba. If no suitable candidate can be found, the scholarship can be awarded to a full-time student majoring in History who has completed courses focused on Canadian history or Icelandic immigration.
