Rutman Family Bursary

The Rutman Family Bursary commemorates the enduring spiritual legacy of Luba and Fishel Rutman, and the life they build together in Canada. After surviving the Holocaust and immigrating to Canada, they dedicated their lives to instilling the highest positive values in their children and grandchildren – honesty, a joyful acceptance of people’s differences, an appreciation of the non-materialistic aspects of life, and a love of learning. It will be awarded annually to a student who demonstrates financial need and is taking one or more courses in Urban and Inner-City Studies at Merchants Corner.
