Chantal Kreviazuk Opportunity Fund Bursary

This bursary was established by Chantal Kreviazuk, alumna of The University of Winnipeg Collegiate, on occasion of her receiving the 2014 Allan Waters Humanitarian Award at the Juno awards and an Honorary Doctorate from The University of Winnipeg. Recipients must demonstrate financial need. Bursaries will be used to cover direct education costs (tuition and books). These bursaries are part of The University of Winnipeg’s Opportunity Fund, which helps to ensure that everyone, regardless of background and socioeconomic status, has access to higher education and opportunities. The goal is to ensure access to a University education, bridge the graduation gap, and transform lives through education. It is specifically designed to assist Indigenous students, people from war-affected nations and refugee populations and students from inner-city neighborhoods.
