Klaus Philipp Scholarship

This fund was established through a bequest made by Mr. Klaus Philipp, a long-time Professor of Chemistry at The University of Winnipeg. It will be given to the Third-Year student with the highest cumulative grade point average going into their fourth year of undergraduate studies majoring in Chemistry or Biochemistry. The scholarship celebrates the life of Klaus Harald Philipp. Klaus Philipp devoted his life to Chemistry and Biochemistry with a passionate commitment to imparting that knowledge to his students. He spent more than thirty-two years as an instructor in the Department of Chemistry, retiring in 1999. Chemistry is life and his life was Chemistry. This is the third of three substantial awards endowed by Klaus Philipp, in order to help deserving students achieve their academic goals in Chemistry and Biochemistry.
