Garnet Kyle Scholarship

Established in 2011 to provide scholarships to students from the Rural Municipality of Franklin, in Manitoba. Students must have a minimum 90% admission average or higher. This award cannot be held in conjunction with a Special Entrance Scholarship. This award is renewable for an additional three years. To renew, students must enroll in a minimum of 18 credit hours and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 4.0. This is an entrance scholarship awarded to a student coming from (in order of preference): 1. The most qualified eligible student undertaking undergraduate full-time studies toward a degree at The University of Winnipeg from the following schools in preferential order: a. Roseau Valley School, Dominion City b. Other high schools in the Border Land School Division c. High schools in Hanover School Division 2. The most qualified eligible student undertaking undergraduate full-time studies toward a degree at The University of Winnipeg who has, within the last three years, graduated from the following schools in preferential order: a. Roseau Valley School, Dominion City b. Other high schools in the Border Land School Division c. High schools in Hanover School Division All qualifications being equal, a student who has attended Red River College will be given priority. 3. The most qualified eligible student undertaking undergraduate full-time studies toward a degree at The University of Winnipeg who is or has been a resident of the Roseau Valley High School catchment area. All qualifications being equal, a student who has attended Red River College will be given priority. This award cannot be held in conjunction with a Special Entrance Scholarship.
