Yvonne Prefontaine Memorial Award in Politics

This award was established in honour of Yvonne Prefontaine, a student of distinction from 1989-91 at The University of Winnipeg. It shall be awarded to a student in one or more political science courses at The University of Winnipeg, who shows outstanding promise and has a demonstrated interest in human rights or social justice. Priority will be given to a student from one of the traditionally under-represented groups (Indigenous students, new immigrants, refugees, low-income students, adult learners, or students with a disability) who demonstrates financial need and has a minimum 2.50 cumulative grade point average.
