Hurley Family Bursary
This bursary was established by Dan Hurley (BA’93) Associate Vice-President (External Affairs) of The University of Winnipeg and his sister, Colleen, in honour of their parents, Lieutenant-Commander Terry Hurley and Susan Hurley. It was created on the occasion of LCdr Hurley’s retirement from the Canadian Cadet Movement after more than 40 years of dedicated service. Terry, Colleen, Dan and his wife, Kim, have all served as sea cadets and cadet instructors. This bursary is awarded to a University of Winnipeg student in any program who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, service to the community and financial need. Preference will be given to a student who has served with distinction in the Canadian Cadet Movement either as a cadet or cadet instructor.
